Refer to the Using Microphones section of the manual for more information. You probably want to use a Microphone input instead. If you are not using either of those, do not configure the Record/Broadcast input. This is for recording and broadcasting from an external hardware mixer or an audio interface with a loopback input. When this input is configured, Mixxx will broadcast and record the signal from it instead of the output of Mixxx.
